Often used in teas and treats, culinary lavender offers a unique and versatile flavor. As part of the mint family, lavender is an herb that can compliment sweet or savory recipes. All our lavender is now CERTIFIED ORGANIC!
Used in our lavender jams, sugar blend and All Around Lavender Seasoning, Angustifolia lavender bud can be incorporated into so many recipes. Each bud is full of that beautiful, flavorful oil so when heated or crushed it adds a powerful punch.
When considering using lavender in your culinary recipes, the species Lavendula Angustifolia (also referred to as English Lavender) is often the preferred choice. With much lower levels of camphor than you would find in the traditional Grosso variety or other Lavendula Intermedia cultivars, English lavender offers a sweeter, more subtle flavor.
